Course Outline - Choral 10, 20, 30/Music 30

Concert Choir is a full year, one credit course for students in grades 9, 10, 11& 12. The object of this class is the rehearsal and performance of choral music written for mixed voices (SATB). Included is instruction in vocal production, sight-reading, ensemble vocal techniques and the stylistic demands of the music. Participation in concerts is mandatory. The class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch.

All choir members may be dismissed 10 minutes prior to the end of their third slot class.

15% Voice Lessons/Sectionals - Each semester students are required to sign up and attend a voice lesson or sectional with the director either individually or with other students. Lesson times are available after school. Students that have completed their voice requirement, and would like to continue to improve their vocal skills or prepare for a vocal solo or duet, may sign up for lessons.
